Claims WorkflowsIntake and first-notice summary
Turn the first notification into a claim record your team can work from.
First notice rarely arrives in one piece. There's the broker's email, a loss notice, a scanned form and some photos. Navi reads all of it, fills your claim format and writes a first-notice summary for the handler, with each detail linked to where it came from.
For complex casualty, property/BI and financial lines claims
The problem
Before anyone can assess the claim, someone has to key it in
Spread across attachmentsDates, parties, policy numbers and serial numbers sit in different documents, sometimes in different languages.
Rekeyed by handSomeone copies the details into the claims system and a notification template. A mistake made on day one can follow the claim for years.
Easy to skip what matters laterA component batch or a change of supplier looks like detail at first notice. On a long-tail claim it often turns out to be the point.
How it works
From the first email to a record your handler has checked
Forward or upload
Send the notification to Navi's inbox or upload the documents. Emails, PDFs, scans and spreadsheets all work.
Navi builds the record
Navi pulls out the claim details, fills your standard claim format and writes a first-notice summary covering what happened, who's involved, the policy and what's still missing.
Your handler checks it
The handler checks each detail against its source, corrects anything that needs it, then exports the record or sends it to the team.
Example
A product liability notification
Halden Thermal makes commercial coffee machines. A boiler failure in a Leeds restaurant injured an employee and started a fire. This is a sample claim we built to show the work. From the broker's notification and the policy, the first-notice summary picked out:
Incident on 11 February 2025 at a restaurant in Leeds, with a burn injury to an employee and a fire in the counter
Broker notification, p. 1The machine's pressure relief valve came from batch HT-2403
Broker notification, p. 2Products liability on an occurrence basis, period 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025
Policy schedule, p. 1

See a first notification come in
We'll forward a broker's notification to Navi and show the claim record and first-notice summary it prepares, with each detail traced to its page. Then we'll scope a pilot on your own files.
